Digital Archive
Any project with an element of digital recording or processing will generate a digital archive. Usually such archives can be managed 'in house', but occasionally the volume of information generated can be overwhelming. In these instances it can be usefull to call on external advice, and often a combination of a web archive and database interface or alternatively a web interface and database archive can be the most effective means of dealing with vast amounts of disparate data.
Individual circumstances will inevitably dictate which is the more appropriate route, dependant on the future use of the archive, but through a combination of web and database, archaeoscope can offer a tailor-made solution to the organisation and storage of large data sets derived from any project that includes a digial archive.
